Go to www.laymans.app β
1. Introduction β
Laymans is a full platform and social network dedicated to the practice of advocacy in the United States. While regular laypeople can only be accessed via direct link, you can view the accounts and organizations of lawyers at any time. Let me show you how.

2. Click "Follow" on the Homepage β
While you'll encounter layperson profiles by hovering over usernames throughout the app -- the fastest way to access profiles for following is under "Follow" on the Homepage.

3. The Connection Dialog β
Welcome to the connection interface, where you can quickly search up Laymans organizations and their members using the search bar. First we'll click the User Profile.

4. Select User Profile β
When you click any layperson's profile, you'll get a summary of their account's interests and campaigns. But, if they're a professional you'll get detailed information about their creations, their professional status, and their related company.

5. Click "Badges" to access their badges β
You can also view any badges they have. We award little badges for contributions to the platform, collecting them is a great way to show credibility and dedication.

6. Click the Company's Name β
You can follow the user from their profile card, or you can go back to the Connection Dialog and click "Join" to follow their entire team and company at onceβor just get more information from the organization's dedicated page.

7. The Organization's Detail Page β
Welcome to the Organization's page, here you can get all the details about an org. From how to contact, to their unique social justice pledges.

8. An Org's Services β
You can also view the Organization's Services from their page, or access their public chatroom. If the organization has a fund or mass action in their name they will be displayed here as well.

9. An Org's Team β
Finally, the detail page will show any layperson teammembers associated with the organization.

10. Conclusion β
Following a Layperson or Organization is highly recommended as you'll be notified when the entity posts to Laymans, keeping you abreast of new mass actions, new resources, and new cases relevant to you. All of which improve your own advocacy and practice through opportunities to be in community. Inversely, orgs and individuals can follow you to keep track of your stories and findings. Stay connected, because we are stronger together than alone.
